Overview

Connect your Slack workspace to receive personal notifications, route reply alerts to shared channels, and send messages from plays. After connecting, choose where notifications go in notification preferences. You need permission to manage the Slack integration in Unify and install apps in your Slack workspace. If your organization requires app approval, ask your Slack administrator to approve Unify.

Connect Slack

Start the connection

Open Settings → Integrations → Slack and click Connect.

Authorize your workspace

In Slack, select the workspace you want to connect, review the requested permissions, and click Allow. Complete any administrator approval your organization requires.

Choose notification destinations

After authorization, Unify returns to the integration settings and shows the active connection. Open Settings → Notifications to select your Slack profile for personal alerts or configure shared channel routes for replies.

Send messages from plays

Add a Slack message action to a play when the team needs an alert tied to that workflow, such as a company entering an audience. Choose its destination and message in the action’s settings.

Manage the connection

Use Disconnect in the Slack integration settings to remove the workspace connection. Slack notifications and play messages depend on that connection. Review active notification routes and plays before disconnecting it.
Ask your Slack administrator to approve the Unify app, then repeat the connection flow. Your Slack workspace’s app policy controls who can grant access.
Disconnect and reconnect Slack to authorize it again. Check the workspace selected during authorization and review your notification preferences after reconnecting.
