Overview

Connect your 6sense account to identify companies visiting your website. Unify uses your API key for visitor identification, then makes the resulting activity available in filters, audiences, and plays. First, configure a website event source so Unify receives your traffic. To use Unify’s managed reveal service, see visitor identification.

Connect 6sense

Your 6sense token must support the Company Identification API for server-to-server requests. Ask your 6sense administrator or customer success manager to confirm this access. See the 6sense API documentation. You also need permission to manage the integration in Unify.

Open integration settings

Go to Settings → Integrations → 6sense.

Connect your API key

Paste your key into Secret API Key and click Connect. Unify validates the key before saving it. The connection then displays an Active label.

Review incoming activity

Confirm that visits reach the event console. Identified companies can then match your website activity filters. A visit must be matched by the provider before a company can be identified.

Update or remove your key

Return to the integration settings to edit the saved key or remove the connection. After replacing a key, click Save. Removing the key stops Unify from using your 6sense account for future identification requests.

Connection problems

Confirm that the key is current and has access to the visitor identification API. Ask your 6sense administrator to check the key’s permissions and any restrictions on its use, then try connecting again.
Check the event console first. If visits are missing, review your event source setup. If visits arrive but companies remain unidentified, confirm your 6sense account’s API access and available usage with your provider.
