How does AI Research work?
When you onboard to Unify, our multi-agent system conducts research on your Company to understand your products, customers, and value proposition. The system uses this information about your Company to analyze and assess what insights you may consider important when evaluating prospect Companies, and creates Observations for those insights. These Observations are the default set of insights that Unify will use to generate AI Research reports for you.An Observation is a key piece of information that the system will try to find for a given Company.

Accessing AI Research
To access AI Research, you can click on the AI Research tab on any Task, Company, or Person page. AI Research will be automatically generated for Tasks, but for Company and People pages, they can be generated on demand.

Modifying your Observations
Admins have the ability to add Observations (up to a maximum of 8), edit Observations, and delete Observations. Additionally Admins can re-order the Observations in the AI Research settings page which will adjust the order of Observations that shows up in the AI Research panel. Adding, Updating, or Deleting Observations will modify the AI Research that is generated for future AI Research generated in Task, People, and Company pages. Once you have added a new Observation or made updates to an existing Observation, you will also be able to regenerate existing AI Research on demand. AI Research that was based on old Observations will show a banner with a button to “regenerate” the AI Research.

Testing your Observations
After providing a valid Observation configuration (Observation name and prompt), you can test your Observation to see if the configuration retrieves what you are looking for. You can either generate Observations for specific companies, or select a random sample of companies to test on. Use this page to experiment and iterate on the Observation prompts until you are satisfied with the resulting AI Research. To get effective Observations, ensure that your prompt explains all of the context that is needed to retrieve the information that you are looking for.
