## Overview

Unify supports email and password, Google sign-in, and enterprise single sign-on
(SSO). Your workspace's authentication configuration determines which methods
are available. Sign in with the work email address associated with your Unify
membership.

Enterprise SSO lets your team use your organization's identity provider to
sign in. An administrator coordinates setup with Unify and the person who
manages your identity provider.

## Set up enterprise SSO

<PlanAvailability plans="Business" />

Enterprise SSO is a paid add-on available upon request. The additional charge
passes through the cost Unify incurs to provide SSO. Contact your Unify account
team to confirm pricing and arrange setup.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Coordinate with your identity administrator">
    Identify the person who manages your organization's identity provider.
    Share the provider you use, the workspace to configure, and the email
    domains your teammates sign in with.

    Unify supports enterprise connections including Okta, Microsoft Entra ID,
    SAML, and OpenID Connect. The setup requirements depend on the provider.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure the connection">
    Your Unify account team provides a setup link after arranging the add-on.
    Have your identity administrator complete the provider configuration.
    For a SAML connection, this can include the sign-in URL and signing
    certificate.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify sign-in before enforcement">
    Work with Unify to test the connection and confirm that existing teammates
    can reach the correct workspace. Resolve account or email-domain mismatches
    before requiring SSO for everyone.

    Once SSO is enforced, workspace members use that identity provider to sign
    in. Coordinate the change with your team so they know which sign-in method
    to use.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Manage access after setup

Continue to manage Unify membership and roles through
[Members and roles](/reference/workspace/members-and-roles). Coordinate access
changes with your identity administrator when someone joins or leaves.

Contact Unify before changing an enforced connection, switching identity
providers, or changing the domains used for sign-in. These changes can affect
whether existing members can access the workspace.

## Resolve sign-in problems

  <Accordion title="My invitation and sign-in account use different emails">
    Sign in with the address that received the invitation. If you need to use
    a different address, ask your workspace administrator to review your
    membership before creating another account.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I can't access Unify through SSO">
    Ask your identity administrator to confirm that you have access to the
    Unify application and that your sign-in email matches your workspace
    membership. If the problem continues, contact Unify with the workspace
    name and the error shown during sign-in.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The SSO setup link expired">
    Ask your Unify account team for a new setup link, then coordinate a time
    for your identity administrator to complete the configuration.
