## Overview

Administrators manage workspace membership in
[**Settings → Users**](https://app.unifygtm.com/dashboard/settings/workspace/users).
Use this page to invite teammates, change their role, and remove access when
someone leaves. Search by name or email, or filter by permissions to find a member.

## Choose a role

Choose the level of access each teammate needs:

| Role | Intended use |
| - | - |
| Admin | Manage members, workspace settings, billing, shared integrations, and plays, alongside everyday outreach work. |
| Non-Admin | Work with companies and people, lists, audiences, sequences, research agents, and personal connections. |

A role determines which controls a user can access. Record sharing,
[engagement policies](/reference/engagement-policies/engagement-policies), and the
permissions of a connected CRM account also affect what they can do.

## Invite teammates

<Steps>
  <Step title="Enter email addresses">
    Click **Invite** and enter your teammates' work email addresses. Separate
    multiple addresses with a comma or press Enter after each one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose permissions">
    Select **Admin** or **Non-Admin**. Everyone in this invitation receives the
    selected role. Invite teammates separately when they need different roles.

    <ThemedImageFrame lightSrc="/images/reference/workspace/members-light.png" darkSrc="/images/reference/workspace/members-dark.png" alt="An invitation prepared for a fictional teammate with Non-Admin permissions." />
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and send">
    Review the addresses, permissions, and any seat charges shown before
    submitting the invitation. Additional seats depend on your plan.

    Invited teammates appear as **Pending Invitation** until they complete
    onboarding. Their name then appears in the users table.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If someone has requested access to your workspace, open **Requests**. Review
their email address, choose a role, and approve or reject the request. Review
any seat charges before confirming approval.

## Update a member

Use the member's **Permissions** selector to change their role. Changes save
when you select the new role. Another administrator must change your own role.

Click a member's name to open their profile. Administrators can edit profile
details and values for [custom user fields](/reference/workspace/settings#custom-user-fields).
The user mapping controls associate a teammate with their CRM identity for
[engagement policies](/reference/engagement-policies/engagement-policies).

## Remove access

Before removing someone, review the work they own. Reassign
[sequence enrollments](/reference/sequences/enrollments),
[tasks](/reference/tasks/overview), and accounts as needed, and review their
[mailboxes](/reference/deliverability/mailbox-operations) and personal CRM
connections. Plan this handoff before ending their access.

In the users table, click the remove icon beside the member, check the name and
email, and confirm **Remove user**. You cannot remove your own account.
The workspace must retain an administrator.

Removing a user revokes their workspace access. It also removes their scheduled
chats and personal context. Review any billing terms shown in the confirmation
before proceeding.
