## Overview

<PlanAvailability plans="Business" />

Unify-managed mailboxes give your team dedicated email addresses for outreach.
Unify sets up the sending domains and mailboxes, manages warmup, and forwards
replies to the destinations you choose. You use the mailboxes in sequences
alongside your team's other outreach.

Each mailbox is assigned to a user. For example, Avery can send from a dedicated
outreach address and receive replies in their usual work inbox. Decide who will
send, how many mailboxes each person needs, and who should receive their replies
before placing a request.

## Request mailboxes

You need permission to manage billing. The request shows any mailbox allowance
from your plan and the cost of additional mailboxes before you submit it.

<Steps titleSize="h3">
  <Step title="Open the request form">
    In [Settings → Mailboxes](https://app.unifygtm.com/dashboard/settings/deliverability/mailboxes),
    click **New mailbox**, then **Buy managed mailboxes**. If this option is
    unavailable, contact your Unify team to arrange setup.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose users and quantities">
    Select the assigned user, enter the number of mailboxes, and confirm the
    forwarding email. Use **Add user** to request mailboxes for another teammate.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Review and submit">
    Review the quantities, forwarding destinations, and billing summary, then
    submit the request. Unify selects and prepares the sending domains. Contact
    Unify support before submitting if you want to choose specific domain names.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow setup and warmup">
    Open the **Pending** tab to review the request and its estimated warmup
    completion date. New mailboxes begin warming after creation. Allow about
    three weeks for warmup, and check the displayed readiness before using them
    for outreach.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Start sending

When the mailboxes are ready, select them during
[sequence enrollment](/reference/sequences/enrollments#add-a-person-to-a-sequence).
You can also combine them in a [mailbox group](/reference/deliverability/mailbox-groups).

New Unify-managed mailboxes default to 25 sends per day each. Review
[sending limits and warmup](/reference/deliverability/sending-limits) when
planning volume. The sequence's schedule also determines when emails can send.

## Maintain your setup

Use [mailbox settings](/reference/deliverability/mailbox-operations) to review
the assigned user, forwarding destinations, and sending status. Contact Unify
support for changes to Unify-managed domains, mailbox addresses, or managed
connections that need attention.

If your workspace already uses a domain you registered yourself, see
[domain configuration](/reference/deliverability/domain-configuration).
